DOGWOOD CITY GROTTO |
Can you keep a secret?
We pride ourselves on being on the downlow. Cavers don't broadcast these special places on social media to protect them. Caves are special, and if you want to know more about caves, you’ll find us.
Leave no trace. None. No tobacco in caves. No trash. No poop or pee. Leave only careful footprints. That means keeping your trips small, and being willing to do something else if the cave you’re at is crowded.
Most southeastern caves are on someone's private land. Many are closed. More will get closed if we aren't on our best behavior. Always get permission and don’t trespass. Don't yell. Don't cuss loud. Don't get nakid where you can be seen. Park out of the way and don’t block roads or gates. Cavers do right, and it’s important that we live up to that.
