Descending into Mexico

Immediately upon meeting Gustavo Bautista, we began planning our trip to Sotano de Golondrinas. With help from a well-traveled caver David Berman, within three months, we were on the road driving toward Mexico. 24 hours of driving later we began descending into some of the largest and deepest karst pits in the world. In the meantime, we took some time to discover the culture and food of the San Luis Potosi region of Mexico. Overall, it was an amazing journey with only a few bumps in the road.
