Join us for our 3rd regular meeting of 2023, a clean up at Guffey Cave, and camping at nearby Cathedral Caverns. Primitive camping is $5, with bathrooms you can drive to.

The Basics

We will meet at Guffey’s, coordinates: 34.5373634, -86.2744164 at 9am eastern Saturday morning. The meeting will be at Cathedral Caverns at our regular start time of 7pm eastern.

DCG's Dane Garreau will be presenting on his Hurt Tree project.

This will be offered as a hybrid meeting, if possible.
Hybrid meetings are video recorded, and uploaded to DCG YouTube channel.

If you do not wish to be shown on camera:

If you're attending remotely via zoom, simply turn off your webcam,
If you're attending the campout, alert the Chair beforehand & seating will be arranged to keep you off camera.

Additional Information

Meeting
- Will be conducted at the pavilion, starting at 7PM EST.
- Zoom will be provided, but as always, it might be a little weak. What don't you come on down, if you can?

Caving
- Check out the calendar trips.
- Cathedral Caverns is offering a discount to camp out participants for caving on Sunday. Ask the Cathedral Caverns folks for more information.
Camping
- Camp out participants are welcome to camp Friday & Saturday nights,
- Camp out costs $5.00/night. Camp out fees will be collected by Roger Olmsted at the meeting,
- We will be camping in the scout fields, which is an area that you can drive to.
- Our Treasurer, Roger Olmsted, will be collecting $5.00 camping fees from those who wish to camp, during the meeting.
- There is a shower house within convenient distance of Cathedral Caverns.
