This will be an intermediate caving trip to Mt Olympus. We will meet at the cave parking area. The coordinates are listed in this event, but you can also type in Tumbling Rock Cave Preserve in your GPS, and it should take you directly there. This trip will include walking borehole passage, navigating over breakdown, as well as some crawling and climbing into upper passages. The front of the cave starts as very beginner-friendly and slowly becomes more advanced as we go.
For this trip, you will need sturdy boots, warm clothes that you do not mind getting dirty, a helmet with at least two light sources, plenty of extra batteries, a snack/lunch, water, and a bag to carry everything in. At one point in the trip, you will have the option of climbing up into a waterfall so if you get cold easily, bring an extra layer.
Upon signing up for this trip, you will receive a link to the permit. Everyone attending this trip must sign the waiver in order to attend. Please reach out to someone on the EC if you have any questions or concerns.
