HCRU SRT Class (Vertical rope skills)

Designed to instruct students in the knowledge and skills to safely climb and rappel using SRT with hands-on training in both classroom and field settings. Includes information on: rigging and equipment, climbing systems and their applications, ascending, descending, changeovers in both directions, and dealing with rope obstructions.
If you want to start doing vertical caving, this is a great way to learn how to rappel and climb safely. The course is taught by the Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit in Alabama and as of this time there are 5 open spots.

This is a public event, and registration is handled at the HCRU website. The DCG website's registration system is just so we can see who from DCG is attending, and network together as a Grotto.
