The large field just behind the shower house is STILL CLOSED to camping this year.

This is where many larger campers typically go, so consider this before you bring your

land yachts since you will need to find somewhere else to park and camp.

The Hot Tub and Sauna area has been closed at the request of the property owner.

We are no longer maintaining this area and will have a caver memorial during the Saturday

    night Awards Announcements.

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT CAMPING Please share to your Grotto or Group:

The large field just behind the shower house is CLOSED to camping this year. This is where many larger campers typically go, so consider this before you bring large campers - you will need to find somewhere else to park and camp.

More about this: Last year was wetter and muddier than we have ever seen it, and several campers were stuck to the axles in mud. This area needs time to heal.

The 2021 TAG Fall Cave-In will resume! October 7th-10th (always Columbus Day weekend) is the date, pending any new outbreaks of Covid-19.

Lisa Andrews has agreed to head up the Cave-In again this year, as the pandemic prevented our get-together last year.  A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to Lisa for carrying the torch again this year, and we're looking soooo forward to seeing everyone again!

    More updates soon!

It’s that time of year again, when Fall is in the air, the leaves are starting to turn, and we spend time with our caver family from near and far. Although we won’t be attending our traditional TAG Fall Cave-In, we can create our own smaller unique versions, and share our collective but separate experiences from this time.

In this most interesting year, while we adapt to keep our communities safe and healthy, please honor the TAG Fall Cave-In tradition by gathering in small groups, building our individual mini-TAG fires, and taking lots of pictures. With a small group of friends and favorite cavers, take the weekend of Oct 9-11 to create your unique memories in honor of our beloved event.

Don’t forget to post your pictures on Facebook, and send them to us so they can be included in the 2021 TAG Fall Cave-In guidebook. Stay safe, cave softly, and have fun!

Hello fellow cavers, friends, and family,

As you may be aware, the Cave-In Advisory Board has been closely monitoring recent events. We have been optimistic in our intention that our beloved TAG Fall Cave-In would not be affected, and have collectively and individually pondered, watched, and hoped that the events of the day would be resolved.

We feel responsible for keeping our community safe and healthy, as our caving impacts many facets beyond our community, including local businesses, the residents of Dade and Walker County (Georgia), and all the people we meet on the journey to visit the unique underground environment we call "TAG." Most importantly we have a responsibility to you, our members, attendees, and to your families. Thus, the decision has been made with heart-felt heaviness to cancel the TAG Fall Cave-In for 2020. However, we are excited to see the world and our local communities become stable and back to "normal" again in the coming year, as our hope has not been cancelled.

We love you all and look forward to an amazing TAG Fall Cave-In that is being planned for 2021. In the meantime, invite a friend, gather in small groups, be safe, have fun, and Let’s Go Caving!

    Warmest regards,

    Lisa Andrews

    2020 TAG Fall Cave-In Chair

Lisa Andrews will be the chair for the 2020 TAG Fall Cave In!

Lisa has been associated with / or a member of the Dogwood City Grotto and has been caving on and off for about 18 years. Both her first group trip through Howard's waterfall and first TAG were in 2002. Always a lover of rocks and walking in stream beds, caving was beckoning as the next great series of adventures.

She finds there are many great things about caving: coming to terms with a fear of heights (it helps that it is dark), learning to trust yourself and the people you are with, testing your limits and then realizing you can always do more than originally thought.

However, the best thing about caving is always the people that you meet! Lisa is looking forward to seeing you all at TAG, Let's Go Caving in 2020!

We are so excited you are coming to the 42nd Annual TAG Fall Cave-In. It's going to be a great time.

We want you to know the GA Forestry Service has a total burn ban in effect at this time for Dade and Walker County as well as other northwest GA areas.  This burn ban means we may not be able to have campfires during the TAG Fall Cave-In.  This will include charcoal fires as well as regular campfires so you need to plan on cooking on camp stoves only.

Hungry Hollow Concessions will be back this year as our food vendor. They have great food so you won't go hungry if you can't have a campfire.

    See everyone soon!

Hey there TAGers, just a reminder that there will be a CLIMBING CONTEST going on during the TAG Fall Cave In with some sweet prizes up for grabs. Keep doing your squats and come ready for speed!

There will also be a ROPES COURSE set up for practicing some of those rope maneuvers that are not seen every trip. It will be open on Friday from 2pm to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. See you on the mountain!
